We are starting off the first blog post of the year with some Maternity FAQs if you are thinking about an Austin Outdoor maternity session. Whether it’s your first baby or not, most times there are many questions about when and how to have the perfect Austin Outdoor maternity session. We can do sessions outdoors this time of year or retreat to my North West Austin Studio. We recently welcomed this gorgeous family back for their second First Year Collective! I love it when families return to preserve another first year with me! This mama had a studio maternity session for her first baby, so this time we decided to take it outdoors and catch that gorgeous fall glow of the Texas sun. We got lucky! We had the most warm gorgeous evening and even pushed this session a few days so we could have the perfect weather!
Whether you dream of having your session outdoors, or in studio here are some Maternity FAQs that I’ve rounded up for you!
When should I reserve my session? Sessions should be reserved as soon as possible as I take a limited number of maternity sessions each month. Most clients reserve early in their second trimester but I strongly recommend by the 20 week mark to have it booked.
When do session take place?Austin Texas maternity sessions take place between 28-34 weeks, I like for you to have a nice round bump, but still feel comfortable and beautiful.
What should I wear?
I have a carefully created studio wardrobe that most all of my clients utilize. Moms choose from sizing from XS to 2XL.. Little girls from 6m-12Y, boys from 6m-5Y, and even shirts for men! You are welcome to were something of your own as well. 
Is Family included? Your spouse, partner, siblings, pups, are all more than welcome at your Austin maternity photography session and encouraged to take part in preserving this special time. 
Do you offer discunts?
I offer a first year collective membership which if you are looking to reserve more than one session, I highly recommend. The membership offers savings and perks and includes 4 sessions over the course of 15-18 months. 
Do you provide hair and makeup?
I have a hair and makeup artist that I happily coordinate services with for the day of your session, and you pay her directly. This service can be performed at your home, or at the studio whichever is most comfortable for you! 
Do you shoot outdoor and in studio for maternity sessions?
Austin maternity photography sessions can take place in studio, or outdoor. I do not shoot outdoors in July and August.
