As an Austin Studio Newborn Photographer I specialize in preserving your baby’s first year of life, through a beautiful, light and airy, timeless style of portraiture.

As a mother of three, I understand how overwhelming this process can be, and how fast the first few weeks, months, and even year of your baby’s first year can go by. From our first conversation, to the delivery of your portraits, my goal is to make your experience truly special.

From styling your whole family from my curated wardrobe, to making sure moms look and feel their best, my goal is to make your experience truly special, while we preserve memories to enjoy for a lifetime. Newborn sessions take place in my North West Austin natural light studio.

I often get questions about how studio sessions are at RDP so I thought I would answer a few FAQ.

WhenshouldIreservemysession? You should reserve your newborn session as soon as possible, I take a limited number of due dates per month to be able to serve my clients well. Most clients reserve in their second trimester to ensure availability. 

Is family included in the session? My Austin studio newborn sessions are very family focused, and I always encourage mom, dad and siblings to join in. This is such a special time in your life and these moments should be preserved with everyone. 

When should my session take place? Austin studio newborn photographer sessions typically take place within the first two weeks of baby’s birthday, while baby is still tiny, and sleepy to ensure a successful session.

~ as mentioned, I have a full studio wardrobe for your family including swaddles, blankets, headbands, and everything you need for your baby. Newborn sessions are done in studio on Tuesday or Thursday mornings. 

What should I wear?

I have a carefully created studio wardrobe that most all of my clients utilize. Moms choose from sizing from XS to 2XL.. Little girls from 6m-12Y, boys from 6m-5Y, and even shirts for men! You are welcome to were something of your own as well.

We can also schedule a wardrobe consultation ahead of time to ensure you have found the perfect dress.  How long do the sessions last?

I never time any of my sessions, but most Austin Studio newborn sessions are done in an hour and a half.  Do you provide hair and makeup?

I work with an amazing hair and makeup artist that I happily coordinate services with for the day of your session, and you pay her directly. This service can be performed at your home, or at the studio whichever is most comfortable for you!
